The Transition

There was a transition in Tracey’s life that is much like the transition we seek in each of the women who will walk through our doors. That transition takes time, love, space, and so much grace. Just as Ephesians 2:8-9 states, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast.” It is that type of grace that is required for transition - nothing earned simply given, freely to our friends.

In life, we know there will be trials, valleys, and hardships, but those experiences are not meant to define us. What we have been through or what has happened to us is not who we are. Yes, it has shaped who we have become. But, in order to truly take the power of our testimony as Revelation 12:11 says, there must be a change of identity from victim to survivor. “They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.”

After the transition, experiences that once labeled our friends as “victims” now become a powerful weapon that even the enemy cannot withstand.
